Asked Question :

7 years ago i was staying idle and thinking.I was asking myself does Allah have a sense of humor because of a hadith on judgment day. Then i thought No.Allah created hunger and sexual urges too,yet he is free of such needs. Then because of that he does not have a sexuality. Then i stopped thinking altogether about this. The big problem and big question is: How much of this dirty stuff are we allowed to use in the process of thinking? Because an individual may denounce Christianity by thinking within himself that if god had a son that would imply that god has a genital organ with shape, hair and appearance like that of human beings and he may bring to his mind the exact image of a human genital organ in the context that god would have that if he had a son. Or he may recall the exact voice, words  and sound intonation of an individual that has insulted god with the f**k word in the context of thinking how evil the people of our times are. Please clarify if this manner of thinking is kufr, major, minor or not sinful at all?

Answer : In the name of Allah, In Islam there are no images of God. If a person tries to form an image of God in their mind they should immediately ignore it Similarly, there are no icons, statues, idols or pictures etc. (We pray with our eyes open.) In Islam, it is not the ‘person’ and God’s ‘interaction’ which produces an ‘image’ in human life, but our search for the ‘Will of God’. ‘Image’, in Islam, has to be searched for in this framework. We have been told we have been created to worship Him. We seek to serve Him and come close to Him. Hence, ‘Will’ is defined as Guidance (hidayah) and the nearest thing to an ‘image’, in Islam, are God’s characteristics or attributes (sifaat). Islam teaches that there is one, and only one, God Who is the Creator and Controller of the entire universe. He is unique in every respect, and there is nothing which bears any likeness to Him. He is the Knower of all things, and has full power over the whole of creation. He does not stand in need of anything at all, while everything is totally dependent on Him. He possesses all the perfect qualities, and mankind should worship Him, and Him alone. Asked Question :

is it permissible for men to wera ring with a gemstone and if so what type of gemstones are permissible? are fake/plastic gemstones permissible?

Answer : in the name of Allah. As narrated by Hazrat Anas, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) had a silver gemstone ring and its stone was Abyssinian gem. (Muslim, Libas, 61). Some scholars said the stone was cornelian. As its mine was in Abyssinia, it was named so. (see Nawawi, explanation of the related hadith). In some narrations, cornelian was clearly stated and that the phrase “the gemstone of the ring was cornelian” was used (see Nawawi, explanation of the related hadith). It is unobjectionable for both men and women to wear gemstone rings set with gems such as cornelian, emerald, ruby and chrysolite. It is stated that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) wore a gemstone set with an Abyssinian gemstone. On the other hand, it is expressed that it is makrooh (abominable) for men to wear gemstone rings with more than one stone. (al-Hawi lil-Fatawi, 1/115-116; Fatawi-i Hindiyya, 5/335). It is permissible to wear rings on both hands. Rings can be worn on the little finger or the finger next to it. They are the appropriate ones. Nevertheless, it is not a sin to wear rings on other fingers, either. Mufti Ejaz Arshad Qasmi Delhi, Cell: 9910215431 . Note: plz use the instant options for fast services and help the organization
